Divine's Code of Conduct:

  • Killstealing, ninja looting, unauthorized corpse looting, or any other kind of unethical behavior will NOT be tolerated under ANY circumstances. If you are accused of any of these types of behavior an officer will contact you for your side of the story. If the officer determines to his/her own satisfaction that you were involved in any of these unsavory acts, you will be removed from the guild.
  • The open and flagrant use of profanity or the discussion of inappropriate subject matter will not be allowed in guildsay. Some examples of inappropriate subject matter are vivid sexual descriptions, hatemongering directed at any social or ethnic group, etc. Basically, consider guildsay to be rated PG-13. There are certain situations where profanity will slip out and that is perfectly understandable. The spirit of this rule is to prevent habitual use of inappropriate language or subject matter. If you do present yourself in a manner contrary to the spirit of this rule, you will receive three warnings. After the third warning you will be removed if the behavior again presents itself.
  • Open criticism of an individual member, arguing and bickering, and saying things for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble in guildsay will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with a particular person then take it up with that person on a one-on-one basis. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, ask an officer to mediate for you. If you insist on using guildsay as a medium to perpetuate an argument with someone you will receive a tell from an officer asking you to take it to tells or a chat room. This request will come when an officer believes the discussion has passed the point of what everyone needs to hear. If you do not take it to tells at that point you are subject to disciplinary action up to and including removal. This set of ideals also extends to zone wide communications such as shouts and ooc’s.
  • While anytime you may need a port, buff, res, etc it is certainly hoped that someone in the guild will be able to assist though this may not always be the case. Due to restraints on time, distance, etc it may be necessary on occasion to obtain these services from someone outside the guild. If someone is asking for a service you can provide it is equally hoped that you will. When you selected to play a class with one of these abilities it is the underlying idea that you will be called upon to provide these services from time to time. Please at all times act in a manner considerate of your guildmates on this matter.
  • If you have several characters under your control, you will be expected to name one as your "Primary" character. This means that this character will generally be the one that is eligible for loot when on a guild raid to the exclusion of your other characters. The exception would be if you were playing another one of your characters because it would benefit the situation more. Ex: You have a cleric and a warrior. You have decided that your warrior is your primary. A raid starts and another cleric could be of greater use than an additional warrior so you decide to use the cleric instead. At this point you could roll for EITHER the cleric or warrior drops but you must select which one you would like to roll on at the beginning of the raid. Once you have made your selection this would be the only class’s items you may roll on for the remainder of the raid. Along these lines, it is to be the choice of the person with multiple characters as to which one they would rather play at ANY GIVEN TIME. In the above example if the person decided to play the warrior anyway the raid group must find another cleric. For all practical purposes pretend that the cleric did not exist. The aim of this rule is to encourage people to play characters that would benefit the event most without having to sacrifice as much to do so.
  • If a raid is scheduled and you are tardy do not expect to always be able to join it under way. More often than not these raids involve moving through dangerous areas that would make it very difficult or impossible to join the raid and must begin at a certain time to allow for completion. If this is the case, be considerate of those that were on time. Don’t whine, complain, or criticize their decision to begin the raid. It is not their fault that you were tardy. When raids are scheduled all guildmembers are encouraged to attend. Not all raids may have any tangible benefit for you, but every raid we do as a team will only serve to strengthen our bond. Additionally you may desire to lead a raid some day and those that you helped will be more willing to return the favor and help you than those that you shunned. Finally, all raids should have a definite anticipated beginning and ending time. Both of these times should be reasonable and adhered too as much as possible.
  • Any behavior that is contrary to the ideals and spirit of the guild will not be tolerated. If you appear to be engaging in any behavior of this type you will receive a tell from an officer asking you to adjust your behavior. To continue acting in this manner will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including removal. Also, repeatedly acting in a manner that is detrimental to the guild is subject to the same disciplinary action.
